At the risk of sounding like a broken record, the annual Tucson agglomerate (sweet word, huh?) is the best in the history of ever! The windfall of beads, rocks, and various sundries has us sitting amongst gargantuan piles of shiny, crazy, jaw-dropping, mind-boggling treasures. Where do we even start!?!?!  Needless to say, it will be quite a long while before we finally have everything out and priced, so be sure to let us know if you have any requests and we can expedite them (hopefully). And here is some insider advice – don’t wait until everything is unpacked to come in! Get the best selection by scouring the piles as they are put out. Seriously, we’ve never had this many stone beads here at one time – there are literally enough to open another store!! Okay, simmer down – that is not going to happen. We couldn’t possibly duplicate the rare gem that is the Taylors Falls Bead Store! Now get yourself over here!

SALE

For the month of February take 40% off all seed beads!!!  That includes all hanks and tubes!

NEW STUFF

Needless to say, the new stuff section for the month would have been brilliantly epicly long so I’m just going to do an overview.  There’s at least 800 pounds of strands of stone beads ranging from quarts to emerald and ruby.   In addition, we brought back a ridiculous amount of rocks from rough to finished onyx vases, fossils to rare crystal specimens and so much more.  Not only that but we have all the usual treasures like carved wooded Buddhas, incense, antiques, singing bowls, agates, and so so so so much more.  Not to mention one of the best hauls of antique and new trade beads in the history of ever!  Keep up with us as we post tons of pictures of new stuff on Facebook as we go.

SHOWS
March 4-5 Bead Bazaar Hopkins MN

The locally famous Bead Bazaar is back for the spring show in March (my personal favorite show btw). There’s around 40 vendors there with millions of beads available to buy. It is a retail show, but if you have a tax number be sure to bring it as most of the vendors do wholesale as well. Come visit our huge 30-foot booth there for some excellent show specials and blowout deals.

March 20-21 G+LW wholesale show Bloomington (note it’s Mon and Tues this time only)
This show is for people with a sales tax number only!  If you have a tax # and haven’t been to this show yet, it’s AWESOME! Lots of beads, jewelry, rocks & fossils, etc…  Plus, we have a really awesome booth there!

March 25-26 Madison bead show
This show is worth the drive!  It’s a little bigger than the Bead Bazaar here, but smaller and much less overwhelming than the Bead and Button show in Milwaukee. Gather a car full  of bead friends and have a crazy-fun bead buying road trip!

So Memorial weekend kicked off the start of a new season.

Yay for summer! And the road construction folks opened up a super-sweet, super-short, super-easy alternate Highway 8 detour through Taylors Falls. Yay for no added travel time! And to round out the ‘new” theme we have going, we have a killer new batch of stone beads that we have never had before! Yay for more reasons to visit the TF Bead Store! We just checked in one of the largest bestest super-hugest awesomest semi-precious stone bead bulk buys ever!

Check out the itemized list of the stones in the new stuff section below for all of the details, but some of the highlights are lots and lots of matte finished stones as well as at least a half dozen new types of stones! Fantastic scenery, convenient traveling and new treasures to discover – yay for new stuff!

Here is your May trivia snippet

It’s May! Here is your May trivia snippet: On May 14, 1804. Lewis and Clark left St. Louis to embark on their famous journey. And you know what was included in their packs of trade goods? Beads! Lots and lots of beads! They had more than a dozen different types of beads. Just think of the selection the would have had if they had been able to stop at the Taylors Falls Bead Store! They would have had hundreds and hundreds to choose from! Ol’ Meriwether and William paddled thousands of miles to trade their beads. You only need to hop in your car! And you don’t have to fight off bears! You can, however, take a hike to commemorate the event. Interstate Park is in our backyard after all. Lewis and Clark would have done it.

The loot is here

This is such a great time of year! Yes, I’m aware it’s winter outside :), but it is also time for the Tucson show! And this year we have some added excitement!  Instead of us yawning our way through January like usual, we’ve been working our butts off getting ready to SELL at the Tucson show for the first time ever! We have expanded our stock of sea glass and beach stones by astronomical proportions to bring to the show. That is good news for us and for you! We’ve been SUPER creative and will have tons of great new styles and ideas going forward. Of course, we are super-stoked to do our normal crazy shopping spree. It is always an adventure to see what treasures we can hunt down at the Tucson show to bring back. Everything from basic stock to I-never-thought-I-would-see-that-in-a-bead-store items will be coming back for sure!  Stop by and see us anytime around mid-February or after to check out all the new booty!
